In this Centre Town home, Denys Builds Designs carved a dedicated home office out of an underused area, giving the client a quiet, organized place to work without leaving the house. The design centred on a custom desk area wrapped in light maple cabinetry, as the gallery photo shows, with warm wood tones and clean lines that make the small space feel calm and deliberate.
From the start, the plan focused on function. The desk was laid out to make the most of the available space, with outlets for the fax machine and other office equipment wired in from the beginning so cords stay hidden and the workspace stays tidy. Overhead cabinets and base storage keep files, supplies and equipment close at hand but out of sight, striking a balance between a professional work zone and a room that still feels like home.
Homeowner Daphne reports that the space fully meets her needs and that working there is noticeably easier. It is a reminder that even a modest home renovation can change how a house works day to day.
“Paul’s contribution made my newly created desk area into an efficient home office, complete with outlets for fax and other equipment. My experience of this space is that it fully meets all my needs.”
