This New Edinburgh home needed a bathroom that matched the rest of the house: calm, bright and simple. As the before photos show, the existing bathroom was dated, with an old sink, tired mirror and worn shower. Denys Builds Designs stripped it back to the studs and rebuilt it as a serene, light filled space, true to the project subtitle “The Essence Of Simplicity”.

The new design is built around white: crisp porcelain wall tiles, a walk-in shower with a frameless glass enclosure and modern fixtures, and a generous double vanity topped with white vessel sinks. A large window floods the room with natural light, bouncing off the mirrors and pale finishes to make the space feel bigger than it is. Fresh flowers and simple detailing complete the calm, spa-like feel, as the gallery photos show.

Completed in 2011, the MacKay House bathroom proves that a thoughtful bathroom renovation does not need bold gestures to make a big impression. Clean lines, quality materials and careful lighting turned a tired room into a bright retreat the homeowners use and enjoy every day.
