Award Spotlight: NKBA Finalist for Classic Bathroom Design – Caldwell House
We are honoured to announce that Denys Builds Designs Renovations has been named a finalist in the 2025 NKBA Ottawa Design Excellence Awards for our work on the Caldwell House. This project was recognized in the prestigious category of Classic/Traditional Bathroom under 100 square feet.
This recognition is particularly special as it highlights our ability to balance the timeless elegance of traditional aesthetics with the high-performance demands of a modern home.
Redefining Traditional Elegance
In the world of bathroom renovations in Ottawa, the “Classic” style requires a deep understanding of architectural history and a meticulous eye for detail. For the Caldwell House, we worked within a footprint of under 100 square feet to create a space that feels grand, sophisticated, and deeply rooted in tradition.
Our design-build approach allowed us to integrate period-appropriate fixtures and finishes while ensuring the underlying plumbing and electrical systems meet 21st-century standards. This project is a standout in our bathroom project gallery, showcasing how traditional design can still feel fresh and functional.
Industry Recognition for Design Excellence
Being selected as a finalist by NKBA Ottawa is a testament to our team’s dedication to quality. The National Kitchen & Bath Association is the primary authority for our industry, and their Design Excellence Awards are judged on both technical accuracy and aesthetic appeal.
To be recognized for a classic design in 2025 proves that true craftsmanship and structural artistry never go out of style. Whether we are working on a heritage restoration or a master bathroom update, our goal is to deliver a finished space that honours the character of the home and the vision of the homeowner.
