Award Spotlight: GOHBA Kitchen and Bathroom Design Legacy

July 7, 2026Awards

The MacKinnon House and Fairmeadow House are two foundational projects that helped establish Denys Builds Designs Renovations as a leader in the Ottawa design-build community. Both were named GOHBA Design Award Finalists, with the MacKinnon House recognized for custom bathroom design and the Fairmeadow House for kitchen excellence.

Designing for Functional Beauty

These projects highlight our early commitment to “Structural Artistry.” In both cases, the challenge was modernizing older home layouts to meet contemporary needs.

Bathroom Renovations: For the MacKinnon House, we focused on creating a spacious, high-performance master retreat that maximized every square foot.
Kitchen Renovations: For the Fairmeadow House, we reimagined a compact kitchen to improve flow and utility, a signature of our kitchen project portfolio.

40 Years of Award-Winning Excellence

Being recognized as a finalist by the Greater Ottawa Home Builders’ Association (GOHBA) even decades ago proves that our standards for quality have never wavered. We have specialized in urban renovations for over 40 years, and these legacy projects serve as the groundwork for the award-winning work we do today.

If you are looking for a renovation firm with a proven track record of excellence that spans generations, we invite you to browse our full list of accolades on our Awards Page.
