Award Spotlight: GOHBA Best Modern Custom Kitchen – Mason House

July 7, 2026Awards

The Mason House remains one of our most celebrated projects, having won the GOHBA Design Award for Best Modern/Contemporary Custom Kitchen (180 square feet or less). This project serves as a perfect example of our design-build philosophy in our own Old Ottawa East neighbourhood.

The Catalyst for Transformation

When designing kitchen renovations in Ottawa, we always look for ways to improve the connectivity of the home. For the Mason House, the kitchen was the catalyst for a total transformation. We removed restrictive walls to create a bright, open-concept hub that flows naturally into the dining and living spaces.

By specializing in high-performance materials and professional-grade functionality, we created a kitchen project that handles the demands of a modern family while maintaining a sleek, artistic aesthetic. The GOHBA judges recognized this balance of form and function, awarding it top honours in its category.

Designing for Longevity

This award reinforces our reputation for delivering home renovations in Ottawa that stand the test of time. Every kitchen we build is an investment in your home’s value and your daily quality of life. From custom cabinetry to award-winning layout design, we bring 40 years of expertise to every project.
